Holy Cross School, Belgahna is part of a rich educational tradition that began over a century ago with the vision of the Holy Cross Sisters of Ingenbohl, Switzerland. The congregation was founded in 1856 by Blessed Father Theodosius Florentini and Blessed Mother Bernarda Heimgartner, with the guiding motto: “The need of the time is the will of God.”

From its motherhouse in Ingenbohl, the congregation’s mission of education, healthcare, and social service spread across continents, reaching India in 1894. The Holy Cross Sisters have since established schools, colleges, and institutions in many states of India, committed to holistic education rooted in Christian values and open to all, irrespective of caste, creed, or religion.

Holy Cross School, Belgahna was founded in 2022 under the management of the Holy Cross Sisters, Mid-India Province, Raipur. The school was established to provide quality education to the children of Belgahna and surrounding villages, with a focus on academic excellence, character formation, and service to society.

Carrying forward the legacy of Holy Cross, Ingenbohl, our school aims to form young minds into responsible, compassionate, and competent citizens — true to the founding vision and dedicated to the service of humanity.
